Last night I moved Nathan into his new room, complete with a full size bed rather than his crib. I will post more on that later, but I first had to share a video of how he did during his first nap in his new room. Because he can now get out of his bed I have had to lock his door so that he will at least stay inside his room. As I suspected, the freedom of being able to get out of his bed was a bit too much for him to resist. However, once he found that the door was locked he took to screaming his poor little heart out for a good 20 minutes. After the crying stopped I heard a strange rhythmic noise that I didn't recognize right away. I went up to check on him and found this:
His sad little sobs continued throughout his whole nap. It breaks my heart to know that he was that upset, but he's got to learn somehow I guess.
That is so cute. I agree, they have to learn somehow and with a baby on the way he needs to learn sooner rather than later.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but despite how sad that is, it is so pathetically cute that I laughed. Maybe that's how you felt about that race that I hated and all you did was laugh.
ReplyDeleteOh breaking my heart! I cannot believe he is in a big bed already. Such a big boy! Hopefully things will get easier for him quickly...but he IS adorable when he whimpers in his sleep. :)
ReplyDeleteAlli, I was laughing too. Especially when I got the first peak of him under the door as I was climbing up the stairs. And then again when I realized that the noise was coming from him, not the neighbors dog.
ReplyDeleteAhahaha! You thought it was the dog!?
ReplyDeleteThat's cute! I've been too scared to move Samantha to a real bed for that very reason.
ReplyDeleteI love that his Momma was spying on him through the crack in the door. Remember when YOU used to do that when your parents were talking about something they didn't want you to hear? Oh, how the tables have turned. He is pretty darn adorable, though.
ReplyDeleteHey Kare, can you send me your address? Time to do Christmas cards. :) I thought I had your regular email but I guess I don't, so I had to turn to your blog to get you a message. Anyway, my email is gkynaston@gmail. Thanks!
