Curtis and I got married on July 21, 2007. We moved to AZ in March of 2009. I "retired" from teaching and am now in a job I love even more! I am a stay-at-home-mom. In 2009 we welcomed Nathan to our family, and in February of 2011 Kaylee joined us!
Hahaha...oh Nathan. Does he actually stay there?? I have put Macie in her crib a couple of times for a "time out". It's more for my sake...when I need a minute to breathe so I don't scream at her! :)
He needs a sibling to sit in another corner so they can talk to each other about you and get over their argument and join forces against you. Those are the best time-outs.
I couldn't believe he stayed there. I didn't even put his nose in the corner, I just made him face the corner. He got up on his toes and shoved his nose in all by himself. I'm thinking it is because we have been around some older kids who have been put into the corner lots of times, so he has learned from watching them. He stayed for a good 20 seconds before trying to escape, but I would just turn him back to face the corner and he would stay for another 15-20 seconds. Oh, and his offense was hitting the tv. He has done this a lot lately, with his hand, or the broom, or the remote, or anything he has in his hands really. I have told him "no" a million times before now, so I figured I would give time out a try. We'll see if anything actually comes of it...

ReplyDeleteThat is just too cute! I've tried time out with Samantha and she thinks it's a game, so it doesn't really work.
ReplyDeleteHa ha! OYou totally have to put him in time out the next time I see you. Okay? That is too flippin' cute.
ReplyDeleteHAHA That made me laugh out loud!
